November 2013 Student of the Month – David S from Yorba Linda, CA
Yorba Linda CA David first came to Yoga Sol last March to complement his basketball activity. Playing full court basketball twice a week, he tells us that over the years, it has taken a toll on his knees. David says that he was drawn to yoga with the idea that a non-impact workout would develop a stronger core and create space in his joints through stretching. Just like many athletes, David experienced improved flexibility and core strength. He tells us that yoga has helps reduce “recovery time” and helps minimize discomfort in his knees and back.
We applaud David’s commitment to a consistent practice – steadily practicing at least three times a week! David comments that he feels that it is important to maintain consistency to achieve flexibility and healing results.
We love that David comes to a wide variety of class – a sophisticated view of the practice – understanding that the unique approaches offer different insights and benefits.
We thank David for his friendliness and inspiration! More than a few guys now “think that yoga is ok” since they saw Basketball Dave doing yoga!
