Why I Love The Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls

One of YOGA SOL’s most popular classes is Anh Chi’s Sun afternoon Candle Light Restorative where she often incorporates Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls.  For those of you who have not yet experienced this exceptional practice, I asked Anh Chi to share some thoughts on the benefits of this therapeutic tool.  Anh Chi shares…

My first experience with the Yoga Tune Up® Therapy Balls, Jill Miller taught us the upper-back sequence. It was a revelation to feel, sense, and release knots that I didn’t even know I had! When we took the balls out, my ribcage felt like it had melted into the floor and my breathing was more profound and expansive. After a few weeks of working with the balls, the neck pain that I had experienced –as result of a tree wacking me on the head and few other accidents– went away.

yoga tune up pixSince then, I’ve been sharing the benefits of these amazing little rubber balls with friends, family, and students. I love seeing people’s eyes light up when they talk about the results they’re getting. Regular self-massage helps to improve range of motion, reduce pain, promotes better posture and performance. In both the short and long-term, massage changes the physiology of the body so that we experience deeper states of well-being and wholeness.
